The main achievements in this area are related to works of hydraulic and environmental improvement for the management and conservation of wetlands in the coastal lagoons of the northern Adriatic and, most frequently, in the Venetian Lagoon. Specific projects have been developed, and others are in progress, for the Valli da Pesca: neighboring humid environments, particularly suited for the traditional extensive fish farming and wildlife management of the territories. Numerous works performed for private owners of these funds and on behalf of public authority, such as the Consorzio Venezia Nuova and the Venice Water Authority. Among the various activities carried out by these institutions we mention the research and design of the lagoon margin models with low environmental impact, morphological restoration work of "mud flats", channels and "shoals" and the design of the recovery of islands, embankments, canals and works of protection against flooding.
